From our castle showroom in the Westerwald region, we ship worldwide and help customers create homes that feel warm, timeless, and beautifully personal.

A Family Business Since 2004

ARTE FRESCA was founded by Margarete Sausmikat and has been family-run ever since. In the early days of online retail, we were among the first to bring premium interior fabrics and wallpapers into the digital world — with the same promise we live by today: carefully chosen collections, honest quality, and personal service.

Margarete built her expertise in the international interiors industry over decades, including many years in British-inspired home décor retail. That experience still guides every decision we make — from design selection to quality standards.

Our Castle: Schloss Friedewald

After sixteen years based on a country estate near the Baltic Sea, we purchased Schloss Friedewald in early 2019. Following careful renovation, we opened our first completed showroom rooms — a unique setting where textiles, wallpapers and details can truly be experienced.

This is not just our address — it’s our creative home, our warehouse base, and a place where ideas become interiors.

What “Outlet” Means at ARTE FRESCA

ARTE FRESCA OUTLET offers original, authentic ARTE FRESCA stock at particularly attractive prices. You’ll find pieces that are often limited in quantity — and therefore perfect for projects that love something truly special.

• Last rolls, end-of-bolt cuts, and remaining stock.
• Discontinued designs and archived collections.
• Single rolls of wallpaper and rare one-off treasures.
• Cushions, trims, accessories and special items — when available.

Because quantities are limited, many Outlet items are “once it’s gone, it’s gone”.
